Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PatternPlot app ("the App"), published by cpmtek ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. Apple standard license
Your license to use the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA). Where these Terms add to that agreement, both apply; where they conflict on a consumer-protection point, the term more favourable to you governs.
2. What the App does
PatternPlot lets you trace paper sewing patterns into editable, true-scale vector pieces; add seam allowance, notches, and grainlines; deterministically grade a base size into a run of sizes; and export true-scale tiled and A0 PDFs. Grading geometry is computed deterministically on your device.
3. Verify before you cut — grading disclaimer
PatternPlot is a drafting and grading tool, not a guarantee of fit. Graded sizes, seam allowances, notches, and exported measurements are aids that you are responsible for checking. The App flags when a size drifts beyond a safe grade range, but you must verify graded patterns — and print a test / calibration square at 100% scale — before cutting fabric or putting a pattern into production. We are not liable for wasted material or production loss arising from unverified output.
AI-assisted suggestions are advisory only. They never set your measurements or geometry: every suggestion is re-validated on your device, and the deterministic engine remains the source of truth for every coordinate, seam allowance, notch, and graded measurement.
4. Free features and Pro Grading subscription
Tracing, vector editing, seam allowance, notches, grainline, and tiled/A0 PDF export are free and do not require a purchase.
Pro Grading is an auto-renewable subscription:
- Title / length: Pro Grading, 1 year.
- Price: US$79.99 per year, after a 7-day free trial for new subscribers (prices in other regions are shown in the App at purchase).
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; refunds are handled under Apple's policies.
5. Your content
Your patterns are yours. The App stores your work locally on your device; we claim no ownership of your patterns and do not store them on our servers. You are responsible for having the rights to any pattern or image you trace.
6. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App or the advisory service, and do not use it to infringe others' rights. The advisory service may apply reasonable rate limits.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, surface a notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
