Quietgrove — Privacy

Last updated: 2026.

The short version

Quietgrove is offline-first. Your tree, settings, and progress are stored on your device (browser localStorage). We do not run accounts. On the iOS app, your save may also sync to your own private iCloud so your tree follows you across your Apple devices — that data is held in your iCloud account (governed by Apple's privacy policy), not on a Quietgrove server. The web version keeps your save on-device only.

Analytics (opt-in, off by default)

If — and only if — you turn on “Anonymous analytics”, the app may record coarse, anonymous product events (e.g. “watered”, “pruned”, “app opened”) to help us improve the game. These contain no personal data, no precise location, and are not used to track you across other apps or sites. You can turn this off at any time from the in-app menu; when it is off, nothing is recorded.

Crash diagnostics

The app keeps a small in-memory list of recent errors to recover gracefully. Diagnostic details are only sent off-device if analytics is enabled, and even then contain just a short error message and where it happened.

Purchases

A one-time “Full” unlock is recorded as an entitlement on your device. Any real purchase is processed by your platform’s store (Apple / Google), subject to their privacy policies; Quietgrove never sees your payment details.

Children

Quietgrove does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
